Second grade teachers from across the district will be receiving butterfly larvae again this year. The larvae will be delivered to schools immediately following the administration of the CRCT. Due to budget constraints, the science department will be unable to provide butterfly habitats to all teachers. We anticipated this, and communicated with schools last year to save their habitats to use again this year. If you do not have a butterfly habitat, you may purchase one from a local supplier (like The School Box or Target) closer to the season or you can make one. Here are some ideas for creating your own butterfly habitat using recycled materials.
