Make a home circuit design that shows how electricity flows through your house or apartment.
To complete this project, you must do the following…
- Draw an outline map of your house or apartment showing rooms and doorways
- Make a map key with symbols to represent the electrical outlets, light switches, and light fixtures. Electric outlets are where you can plug in electrical items. Light switches are where you turn on the ceiling lights. Light fixtures are the lights that are in the ceiling.
- Place the symbols throughout the drawing to represent the placement of outlets, switches, and light fixtures.
- Color you design or use magazine pictures to represent some of the electrical items that may be plugged in like alarm clock, lamp, kitchen appliances, etc.
You will be graded based on the following parts of the project.
