Actively engaging students in the science Georgia Performance Standards is the focus of the Metro RESA science trainings during the 2011- 2012 school year. Teachers will be engaged through inquiry based learning strategies that include student engagement, exploration and assessment of student performance. The trainings are organized in series of classes and include engaging students through best practices, K-2 inquiry, and a focus on big ideas in life, earth and physical science in grades 3 – 8. Classes will be held from 8:30 – 3:30 at Metro RESA.
The cost is $65 per class and 1 PLU will be awarded to teachers attending 2 classes. Register at www.mresa.org.
