Teaching Conservation to 3rd-5th Graders Award
The Nongame Conservation Section of Georgia DNR's Wildlife Resources Division is offering a $1,000 grant to a third-, fourth-, or fifth-grade teacher who demonstrates exceptional energy and innovation in teaching life sciences. Georgia's nongame wildlife (animals not fished for or hunted and rare plants not harvested) should be used as the context for learning curriuculum standards. One teacher will be selected based on project design and how well the grant proposal questions are answered.
Download the grant guidelines and application here. Deadline to apply is September 4, 2012.
Funding is made available by The Environmental Resources Network. TERN is the friends group of the Nongame Conservation Section. Grant details are also available at www.eeingeorgia.org.
