CCSD has partnered with the Georgia Aquarium to offer special reduced admission to targeted grade levels. Students in grades 1 & 4 may visit the aquarium for a rate of $8.00 per child. For this price students will be able to participate in a 45 min structured program correlated to grade level science GPS, view the Depo show, and have unstructured time to tour the aquarium or visit the gift shop.
Discover the aquatic realm in an immersive learning environment
The Georgia Aquarium educational experience is an opportunity for students to discover the aquatic realm in an immersive learning environment. The Aquarium’s Education Department strives to make the educational experience an extension of the classroom.
Georgia Aquarium's one-hour instructor-led programs allow for focused learning opportunities where students can expand their understanding of aquatic ecosystems. All programs are aligned to Georgia Performance Standards and include a downloadable Teacher Guide, which includes a lesson overview and activities.
Programs take place Monday-Friday and are scheduled at:
9:45 a.m., 10:45 a.m., 11:45 a.m., 12:45 p.m., 1:45 p.m. and 2:45 p.m.
Instructor-led programs include admission to the Aquarium and Deepo's Undersea 3D Wondershow.

Sea Life Safari
Let’s go on a safari! Throughout this program students will use their five senses to explore how animals thrive in their aquatic habitats. Students will discover how animals meet their basic needs while navigating through aquarium exhibits and our engaging learning stations.

Bite-size Basics
All animals have certain basic needs, including food. Come discover what some of our aquarium residents eat, how they eat, and how their food is prepared.

Weird & Wild
Come along on a “weird & wild” adventure through the Georgia Aquarium! During this program, your students will explore some of our galleries to discover the “weird & wild” characteristics of our unique animals. The students will visit some behind-the-scenes areas while learning how these animals are able to survive in their unique habitats.

Snack Attack
Come explore some of the predator-prey relationships found in aquatic ecosystems around the globe. Discover how some of our amazing animals catch their meals – and how they keep from becoming a meal.
